CORD

Installation

18.04-27.06.20

This work has been presented at Gare du Nord in Basel, at an exhibition in Bern, and at the Hill-Chill Festival in Basel.

Visitors are invited to play with the installation using a set of objects, allowing them to discover and explore the embedded sound spectra. Four soundscapes, playing simultaneously, can be conducted and shaped through the movement of eight objects, creating an evolving overall composition.

This interdisciplinary project is realized by three artists — Theo Flach, Lia Sauser, and Belarmín Cremonini — working across the fields of sound design, music and movement, and process design.

Pärkli-Jam

Event Organisation

19-21.06.2026

The Pärkli-Jam Festival 2026 took place from June 19–21 in St. Johanns-Park, Basel. After a one-year break, the long-established three-day youth culture and music festival returned with new structures and an independent organizing association.

As part of a four-person team responsible for the festival’s overall coordination, I was involved in the full planning, organization, and execution of the event. The role required strong leadership, teamwork, communication, and coordination skills, as well as the ability to manage responsibilities independently and effectively within a dynamic team environment.

The festival was completely free of charge and provided a platform for young, regional emerging artists, while being designed by young people for audiences of all ages. With more than 10,000 visitors, the 2026 edition was successfully realized and reaffirmed Pärkli-Jam’s importance within Basel’s youth culture and music scene.

CORD 1.1 at Basel Social Club

Performance

15.06.2026

As Part of the Basel Social Club 2026, we showed our perforamance CORD1.1.
Cord 1.3 is a performance exploring the relationship between movement, sound, and collective interaction. Three performers are connected by cords to a shared structure, allowing them to influence and move one another. Every physical interaction directly affects the sound and spatial composition, creating a constantly evolving system of action and reaction.

Using a  sound setup of three speakers, the performance creates an immersive soundscape in which control is shared and unexpected sonic spaces emerge.
Cord 1.3 transforms physical interaction into a collective experience of movement, perception, and sound.

Swiss Art Awards

Sounddesign

04.06.2026

In collaboration with video artist Flurina Kühne, we created a short-form Instagram Reel for the Swiss Design Awards 2026. I was responsible for the sound design and musical composition, developing the sonic layer specifically for the visual rhythm and atmosphere of the video.

The Swiss Design Awards are organized by the Swiss Federal Office of Culture and are one of Switzerland’s key platforms for recognizing and promoting contemporary design. The 2026 edition brought together around one hundred finalists across a wide range of design disciplines, with their work presented in Basel during Art Basel week.

Deep-Space at ATTACCA, Gare du Nord

Concert

30.05.2026

DeepSpace is an ongoing project from Stefan Preyer and Theodore Otis Flach that explores the physical, emotional and sculptural dimensions of sound.
It centres on the physically tangible effect of acoustic and electro-acoustic sound sources and their transformation in space through technical and performative interventions.
This Concert was part of the ATTACCA Festival at Gare du Nord . The work combines improvisational practice with compositional structure, technical research with sound-artistic intuition and invite the audience to an immersive, movement-based experience.

WHAT-IF

EVENT

09.05.2026

The concept behind WHAT IF is rooted in curiosity, freedom, and the simple question: “What if?” What if the usual rules of nightlife were challenged? What if new connections were created, familiar boundaries were pushed, and a night out could evolve into something completely unexpected?

With its late-night setting and energetic club atmosphere, WHAT IF Volume 2 was created as a space where people could let go, immerse themselves in the music, connect with others, and experience Basel nightlife from a different perspective. On 9 May 2026, the event welcomed over 800 visitors, turning the night into a vibrant and memorable gathering.

The team behind WHAT IF consists of Alice Lutz, Diego Turina, and myself. Together, we conceptualised, organised, and coordinated the entire event — from developing the initial idea and shaping the identity of the party series to managing its organisation and bringing the experience to life on the night itself.

Blabla - Audio-Visual Solo Performance

Concert

02.05.2026

This audiovisual performance, “Blabla”, combines voice, speech, beats and harmony. The visuals are closely integrated with the music and stage composition, connecting multiple sensory layers. The text explores fragmented syllables and granular language, reflecting the evolving nature of communication.
“Blabla” was performed as part of the ESB Re:Generation Fesitval.

Where do you lose your Time - Exhibition

Event

11.04.2026

‘Where do you lose your time?’ is a public exhibition, which will feature interactive installations, performances and other artistic projects with 25 artists. The exhibition aims to open up spaces for themes that carry weight in life – memories that linger, questions that won’t go away, worries that cloud one’s vision. The works are intended to offer an insight into worlds of thought that would otherwise often remain hidden, and to reveal what preoccupies, drives or troubles the artists.

Flurina Kühne and Theodore Otis Flach, created the framework for this, organised the venue and infrastructure, and aimed to facilitate an accessible, low-threshold art programme organised by young people and filled with art. The event was well attended and the audience was diverse, comprising people from a variety of backgrounds.

Martinů-Festtage – „12 Lektionen für Gilgamesh”

Concert/ Theatre

25.10.2025

As part of the “Martinu-Festtage” together with Stefan Preyer, we created the soundscape, recordings, and original composition for this interdisciplinary production, developing a sonic world that connects the ancient narrative with a contemporary musical language.

This music-driven theatre performance transports audiences into the world of the Epic of Gilgamesh, exploring timeless themes of friendship, power, extreme experiences, mortality, and the search for meaning. What can this ancient story tell us today? And what does heroism mean in our time?

The production brings together live music, drama, electronic sound, projections, and unconventional narrative techniques, creating an interdisciplinary experience that bridges the ancient and the contemporary. Set against the striking backdrop of the Sculpture Hall at the Museum of Antiquities in Basel, the performance transforms the historic space into an immersive stage for this ancient epic.

Cord at ACT Festival - Kunstmuseum Basel

Performance

26.04.2025

5.1
Performed at the Kunstmuseum Basel as part of the ACT Festival 2025, this interdisciplinary performance explored control, resistance, and connection through movement and sound.

Two performers, positioned on opposite sides of a box, were physically connected by strings running through the structure and attached to a MIDI controller. Every movement created a reaction, transforming tension and resistance into an evolving choreography.

Together with the performers and visual artist, I developed the sound component of the performance, using the MIDI controller and its physical interactions to translate movement into sound. The work explored the shifting dynamics between control and loss of control, as well as contrasts such as human and nature, tradition and progress, and analogue and digital.
